Water testing is a key factor in determining the right course of water treatment. ProGuard® always recommends taking samples from the center of the pool and balancing the water for pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness and free chlorine BEFORE applying any sanitizers, shocks or algaecides. This saves money in the long run and helps avoid unsatisfied customers. ProGuard® offers poolside water testing equipment and most ProGuard® dealers have water testing systems in place to help guide proper water treatment.
ProGuard® encourages the safe handling and storage of all pool care products. Guidelines for using our chemicals can be found here or you can get more in-depth information by visiting www.cdc.gov. You can also access pool safety information on the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) Web site.
